E-Beam Project

For the Ebeam project, I was the project lead and designer, overseeing the entire process while tackling design system challenges and ensuring a cohesive user experience. Despite the short turnaround, the project was a great opportunity to address key features, like adding the ability to create empty jobs and a calendar view for each machine, which helped make the platform more user-friendly and efficient.

I also focused on cleaning up design inconsistencies throughout the platform, ensuring everything from buttons to layouts was aligned and visually cohesive. One of the more rewarding fixes was restoring the functionality of the back button, which had been unintentionally disabled, creating friction for users. I made sure it worked again and added proper form error messaging to improve the overall user experience.

Project Overview

Ebeam needed a quick turnaround to implement a few essential updates to their platform. The project involved adding the capability to create empty jobs and a calendar view for each machine. While the scope was smaller, there were still challenges—especially around inconsistencies in the design system and a few tricky user experience issues.

A key highlight of the project was the simple yet impactful restoration of the back button, which had been disabled. Although it was a small fix, it made a significant difference in streamlining the user experience. Overall, the project was a rewarding chance to clean up the platform, improve functionality, and deliver a smoother, more consistent user interface.
